UPTEC’s startup was among the seven winners out of 260 in the competition, having received an honourable mention in the Santander X Global Award
Infinite Foundry, a startup incubated at UPTEC– Science and Technology Park of the University of Porto, was recognized with an honourable mention in the Santander X Global Award | Transforming the Digital Economy. The distinction highlights the startup’s work in developing digital twin and industrial metaverse solutions.
Infinite Foundry is responsible for developing an operational metaverse platform, an innovative 3D digital plant solution that allows you to virtually reproduce in real-time all the details of an industrial operation, logistics, store, construction site, etc., alerting the user to any deviation from the ideal operating pattern.
In addition, the platform allows simulations to be carried out to understand their impact before implementing them, providing a comprehensive and proactive view to optimize processes and improve efficiency in various sectors, such as industrial production lines, warehouses, smart cities and even sports.

In September 2023, Infinite Foundry was one of the winners of the Greatest Development Potential in the Greater Bay Area award, which was awarded at the third edition of the 2023 Scientific and Technological Innovation Companies Competition of Brazil and Portugal in Macau.
The Santander X Global Award programme, developed in collaboration with the Oxentia Foundation, has attracted more than 260 companies from all over the world. All of them are committed to proposing innovative solutions in the digitalization of industry, the improvement of the user experience, or the stability and growth of companies with process optimization.
