UPTEC startup aims to revolutionise decision-making in companies
PeoplePulse Analytix (PPA), a startup incubated at UPTEC – Science and Technology Park of the University of Porto, is developing LeaderTek, a platform that sets itself apart from traditional SaaS solutions through an always-on layer of Artificial Intelligence (AI) that captures organisational signals and enables business leaders to anticipate, simulate and act with greater precision.
Founded in January 2025 by Semone Noel, PPA aims to support business development in an era marked by collaboration between humans and AI, through the creation of a decision-making infrastructure for organisations. Research done by McKinsey, Gartner and MIT shows that executives spend roughly 37% of their time on decision-making, yet 61% of that time is used ineffectively, and poor data quality alone costs organisations an average of $12.9 million per year. By contrast, companies that execute through automated, data-driven decisions report 62% higher revenue growth and 97% higher profit margins than other businesses.
The platform developed by the startup provides business teams with a way to preserve decisions and their context as institutional memory, regardless of leadership changes or market dynamics. Aimed at HR leaders, CEOs, CFOs or COOs, LeaderTek provides access to real-time information on team efficiency, potential areas for improvement, skills management and diversity and inclusion indicators, as well as enabling users to consult industry benchmarks or ESG targets, facilitating more strategic and informed decision-making.
The product emerged from a structural shift observed within organisations: “Work systems have become hybrid, comprising humans and AI, but decision-making models have not evolved at the same pace. PPA began by developing an AI-powered people analytics solution, but quickly expanded its vision to a more comprehensive decision-making infrastructure layer, in response to the technological acceleration that characterises the present,” explains Semone Noel, founder and CEO of PeoplePulse Analytix. The startup was supported by the AvantNow Accelerator, promoted by the Berlin Senate and the European Union, which funded the product design and the development of the MVP.
Currently in the market validation phase with a group of organisations, the platform created is sector-agnostic, being relevant to executive teams and managers in medium and large organisations across sectors ranging from technology and industry to services.
For the remainder of 2026, the startup has clear priorities, starting with the onboarding of its first ten corporate clients, converting pilot tests into long-term implementations. Furthermore, PPA aims to enhance LeaderTek’s intelligence layer with more advanced AI frameworks, establishing a decision-making log system, and expanding its presence in key Western markets.
