UPTEC joins 1,5M€ iberian consortium to promote digital solutions in health
The INNOV4LIFE project aims to create a living lab between the North of Portugal and Galicia to facilitate the validation of innovative digital health solutions
UPTEC – Science and Technology Park of the University of Porto, is part of the consortium of the INNOV4LIFE project, which aims to facilitate the validation of digital solutions in the area of Health, with a special focus on issues related to dementia and cognitive degeneration.
Led by the University of Porto, through the Competence Centre for Active and Healthy Ageing of the University of Porto – Porto4Ageing, this consortium also includes the Galician Health Service, the University of Santiago de Compostela, the Galician Axencia de Coñecemento en Saúde, the AFAGA Alzheimer and the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Riba de Ave.
This cross-border network established between Galicia and the north of Portugal, with global funding of 1.5 million euros, aims to be a collaborative ecosystem that creates conditions for validating new solutions. To do this, it will bridge the gap between innovators and end-users who can test digital solutions.
The launch session of the project will take place on November 27, between 10:30 am and 5:00 pm, in the Noble Hall of the Rectory of the University of Porto, at the invitation of the Competence Centre for Active and Healthy Ageing of the University of Porto (Porto4Ageing).
The INNOV4LIFE is co-financed by the European Union, through the Spain-Portugal Cross-Border Cooperation Operational Programme (Interreg POCTEP). The main focus is co-creation, support for the development, validation and promotion of the uptake of innovative and disruptive digital solutions, scientific research, training and consultancy, and promotion of cross-border cooperation, focusing on improving the health and well-being of all.
