Besides being equipped with a number of labs and offices, this centre is characterised by its dynamic atmosphere and proximity to the University Quarter, the largest university campus in the city of Porto.

Just as with our first centre in Asprela, the community based at Asprela II also benefits from a privileged connection to educational and research institutions, particularly in the fields of engineering (FEUP, ISEP, INESC TEC and INEGI) and health (FMUP, I3S, São João Hospital and IPO). In this area of just one square kilometre, more than 50,000 people work, research and study, representing one of the highest densities of knowledge and innovation in Europe.
