Winalist is a European wine tourism booking marketplace connecting travelers with over 2,000 partner estates across France, Italy, Portugal, and Spain. We make wine and spirits experiences — tastings, cellar tours, vineyard visits, and pairings — discoverable and instantly bookable online, the way hotels and restaurants already are. For travelers, we replace fragmented phone calls, emails, and outdated websites with a single trusted platform.

For estates, we provide distribution, online payments, and a CRM layer to help them sell directly and grow revenue. Backed by Portugal Ventures, Plug and Play US, and wine-industry investors, Winalist combines the reach of a consumer marketplace with the tools for an entire category of experiential tourism.

PROBLEM

Wine tourism is a multi-billion-euro market, yet it remains largely offline and fragmented. Most estates still take bookings through phone calls, emails, and manual scheduling, with no real-time availability or online payment. This creates friction for travelers, who struggle to discover and book experiences in advance, and lost revenue for estates, who miss reservations, suffer no-shows, and lack professional tools to manage their visits.

Unlike hotels and restaurants, wineries have never had a booking infrastructure or distribution channel built for their needs. The result is an underdigitized sector where supply and demand fail to meet: estates with capacity to fill can't reach the international travelers actively looking for these experiences.

SOLUTION

Winalist is a two-sided platform. On the demand side, we run a multilingual consumer marketplace where travelers discover and instantly book wine and spirits experiences across Europe, with real-time availability, secure online payment, and pay-on-arrival options.

On the supply side, we equip estates with a SaaS toolkit: a booking engine, calendar and availability management, a built-in CRM, automated guest communications, and analytics to help them sell directly, reduce no-shows, and understand their customers.
