PROBLEM
Energy switching processes are still highly manual, slow, and often inaccurate. Consumers are usually required to fill in complex forms or manually submit invoice data, while comparison platforms and suppliers must interpret bills, validate information, calculate savings, and prepare contracts with significant operational effort.
This creates friction for consumers, limits conversion rates, and makes it difficult for companies to scale energy switching efficiently. In addition, many simulations are not fully transparent or precise because they rely on incomplete or manually entered information rather than actual invoice data.
SOLUTION
Frontera uses a hybrid extraction engine to process energy bills. When invoices contain readable text, our structured parser identifies and extracts the relevant fields directly. When invoices are scanned, photographed, or presented in less standard formats, our AI-based pipeline converts the content into structured data and extracts the required information.
Once the data is captured, Frontera compares the customer’s current tariff and consumption profile with available offers, calculates potential savings, and generates the necessary information to support the switching process or contract preparation.
The impact is a faster, more accurate, and more scalable customer journey.
