BNanoTech offers a technology based on controlled drug delivery systems, specifically nanoparticles, designed to transport drugs directly to the brain. It is particularly interesting for the treatment of central nervous system disorders, as it allows drug delivery to the affected brain regions, maximizing the therapeutic effects of the drugs. BNanoTech, Ltd.’s target market includes pharmaceutical and biomedical companies interested in advanced therapies for the treatment of neurological diseases, with potential for strategic partnerships and commercialization at the national and international levels. BNanoTech, Inc. was founded in 2025, drawing on research conducted at the Laboratory for Process Engineering, Environment, Biotechnology and Energy (LEPABE), thus reinforcing the company’s strong connections with the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP).
