UPTEC Mar is oriented for hosting scientific and technological based projects, which have a special impact on the sea economy. The close connection with CIIMAR – Interdisciplinary Centre of Marine and Environmental Research, based on the cruises terminal building, and the proximity of Leixões Port structures and equipment reinforce the dynamic and ecosystem of this centre. Located in Matosinhos, UPTEC Mar is inserted in a conducive space to sports activities related to the sea, such as surfing and sailing.
