UPTEC creates Entrepreneurship Programme for the Ordem dos Engenheiros
Throughout January, UPTEC – Science and Technology Park of the University of Porto, and the Ordem dos Engenheiros – Região Norte (OERN) held the first edition of the Engineering Entrepreneurship Programme, in partnership with companies such as A400, BIMMS, PROEF and REIFY.
Aimed at professionals in the various areas of engineering, product and project managers, and professionals in career transition, the programme covered topics such as Artificial Intelligence, Industry and Services, Customer and Quality, People, Optimisation and Processes, among others.
The training was designed based on the identification of challenges faced by companies, with practical sessions in a hybrid format and case studies of startups incubated at UPTEC, using mentoring and peer learning as tools. The programme was attended by professionals from a variety of backgrounds, from multinationals to smaller companies.
Through this initiative, participants had the opportunity to acquire the tools and support to turn their potential ideas into reality and transform their vision, knowledge and creativity into solutions that impact the market. “It was clear that there is great opportunity and interest in sharing and collaborating among companies with similar activities that are trying to overcome common challenges”, added Raphael Stanzani, UPTEC’s Entrepreneurship Programme Manager.
