Claudia Eyzaguirre || CEO and co-founder PV Complete || 12 team members, 5 in Porto
PV Complete is a solar engineering design software.
Why did PV Complete come to Portugal?
PVComplete opened an office in Portugal because our company was invested in by EDP Ventures and, importantly, we observed that Porto had talented software developers and UPTEC was a supportive environment for startups to grow.
What made you choose UPTEC to develop PVComplete?
The building, the location and the administration offered a supportive environment for our startup to grow. The building is well-located and equipped and it is situated among other startups we felt a shared experience.
What do you think about your experience in Portugal?
PVComplete is having a wonderful experience in Porto. Our team members in Portugal are talented, smart people who are part of the generation that is solving climate change. Shout out to the Juan, Carlos, Alexandra, Andreas and Ana!
How did you get the idea/concept for your business?
Solar energy was clearly the solution to the global challenge of climate change. Today solar energy is 3% of energy generation globally and will grow to be more than 50% of global energy production by the end of the next decade. We knew that the world needed solar design and engineering software to scale the deployment of solar projects. My co-founder and I had worked in solar and knew that we could bring software to speed the transition to a solar and renewable energy economy.
To what do you attribute PVComplete’s success?
PVComplete’s success is attributed to our team members. Each person brings the strength of their talents and their abilities to our software development, engineering and sales. My experience of running PVComplete is that the whole is greater than the sum of it’s part.
