French government invites UPTEC startup to international AI event

Kelwin Fernandes, CEO of NILG.AI, a startup incubated at UPTEC – Science and Technology Park of the University of Porto, is among those invited to the AI Action Summit, organised by the French government.

Throughout February 10 and 11, heads of state and government, leaders of international organisations, and CEOs of small and large companies are meeting in Paris at this event organised to discuss and influence global Artificial Intelligence policies.

“Being present at this type of event demonstrates NILG.AI’s personal commitment to leading technological innovation and digital transformation. More than recognition, it’s an opportunity to influence the future of AI”, says Kelwin Fernandes.

The AI Action Summit, organised by the French government, brings together global leaders to discuss the foundations of Artificial Intelligence governance, addressing issues such as ethics, regulation and the economic impact of AI, as well as the future of the technology.

In addition to the summit, NILG.AI is also part of the Portuguese delegation at the World AI Cannes Festival (WAICF) 2025, representing Portugal at the stand organised by the DSPA (Data Science Portuguese Association) from 13 to 15 February.
