Filmmakers Summit arrives in Portugal with UPTEC as official partner

UPTEC – Science and Technology Park of the University of Porto – is an official partner of the first European edition of the Filmmakers Summit on May 13 and 14 at the auditorium of ANJE – National Association of Young Entrepreneurs, in Porto. Sponsored by Canon, Sony, and Fujifilm, the event brings together leading names in the audiovisual industry for two days of sharing, inspiration, and innovation.

After ten years of history in Brazil under the name Congresso Select, the event makes its European debut with a new identity and a clear mission: to connect creators, foster the exchange of ideas, and discuss the future of audiovisual production.

Throughout the summit, attendees will have access to nine masterclasses led by national and international experts in various fields of the audiovisual world, including drones, documentaries, wedding films, journalism, artificial intelligence, and cinematography.

Confirmed speakers include Francisco Maia (professional drone pilot), Paula Mordente (content creator), José Sotero (digital media and AI), Filipe Abreu (cinematographer), Jorge Pelicano (documentary filmmaker), Vanessa and Ivo (wedding films), Santi Veiga (weddings, corporate and product films), Hélder Lopes (fashion and corporate), and António Morais (director of photography).
