SUMMARY
Subdron develops autonomous underwater inspection systems for subsea infrastructure, maritime operations, and coastal environments. Using intelligent underwater robots, our solution enables data acquisition without the need for divers, delivering repeatable, high-resolution results. Subdron provides a complete solution: from mission planning and data capture to processing and the generation of structured outputs, enabling reliable infrastructure assessment and predictive maintenance.
PROBLEM
Subdron addresses the challenge of efficient, safe, and reliable underwater inspection of subsea infrastructure. Traditional inspection methods rely heavily on divers or remotely operated vehicles, which are costly, time-consuming, weather-dependent, and often limited in repeatability and data quality. This makes it difficult for operators to obtain consistent, high-resolution data needed for accurate asset assessment and maintenance planning.
Subdron solves this by enabling autonomous, repeatable, and data-driven inspections using intelligent underwater robots—reducing operational risk, lowering costs, and improving the quality and consistency of inspection results.
SOLUTION
Subdron provides an end-to-end solution for autonomous underwater inspections. Our system combines intelligent underwater robots (AUVs), advanced navigation, and data-processing software to perform precise and repeatable inspection missions.
The process starts with mission planning, where inspection paths are defined digitally based on the asset and site conditions. The AUV then executes the mission autonomously, capturing high-resolution data (e.g., imagery, sonar, and positioning) without the need for divers or continuous operator control.
After data acquisition, Subdron’s software pipeline processes and structures the information into actionable outputs, such as 3D models, condition reports, and standardized datasets. These outputs integrate easily into existing asset management systems, enabling operators to make informed decisions.
The impact is significant: Subdron improves safety by minimizing human exposure to hazardous underwater environments, reduces operational costs by limiting vessel time and manual intervention, and ensures consistent, high-quality data through repeatable inspections.
Ultimately, this enables more reliable infrastructure assessment, supports predictive maintenance strategies, and helps extend the lifespan of critical subsea assets—contributing to more efficient and sustainable maritime operations.
