SUMMARY

Adyta is a Portuguese cybersecurity company, founded in 2015 as a spin-off from the University of Porto. Operating from UPTEC, Adyta works across two main areas: cybersecurity services and secure communications solutions.

In cybersecurity, Adyta provides audits, vulnerability assessments, and consulting to organisations handling sensitive data. In secure communications, Adyta developed AdytaPhone - Portugal's only certified solution for classified communications, authorised by the National Security Office up to NACIONAL RESERVADO level.

Unlike mainstream messaging platforms, AdytaPhone stores no user or communication data outside client infrastructure, and its security model is independently certified and fully transparent. Adyta also leads and participates in European Defence Fund R&D projects, and conducted the technical audit behind Portugal's first cloud certification.

PROBLEM

Modern communications infrastructure was not built with security as a priority. Mainstream platforms, even those marketed as secure, monetise user data, route communications through foreign servers, and operate under legal frameworks that can compel disclosure to third parties. For governments, defence organisations, and enterprises handling sensitive or classified information, this represents an unacceptable and often invisible risk.

Adyta addresses this gap. We build communications solutions that keep data entirely within client infrastructure, with no third-party exposure and no dependency on foreign technology stacks. We also help organisations understand and reduce their attack surface through rigorous cybersecurity audits and vulnerability assessments.

SOLUTIONS

Adyta operates across two complementary areas that together cover the full spectrum of organisational security.

• In secure communications, we developed AdytaPhone, a solution built entirely in Portugal and certified by the National Security Office for information classified up to NACIONAL RESERVADO level. Unlike conventional platforms, no user or communication data is stored or transits outside the client's own infrastructure. The security architecture is independently certified and fully auditable, giving organisations complete visibility and control over their communications. AdytaPhone is already deployed across the Portuguese Armed Forces and sovereign institutions, and European and NATO certifications are underway.
• In cybersecurity services, we help organisations map and reduce their attack surface through audits, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and compliance consulting. Our team also conducted the technical audit behind Portugal's first cloud certification, covering Microsoft Azure under the guidance of the National Security Office.

Beyond commercial deployment, Adyta leads and participates in European Defence Fund R&D projects, including DISCRETION, focused on military software-defined networking, and SWAT-SHOAL, involving secure communications for autonomous underwater systems.
