Proteios is a leading provider of products and services dedicated to supporting the discovery of advanced therapeutics and their efficient manufacturing.  Cell therapies offer the promise to cure chronic diseases such as Cancer, HIV, Multiple Sclerosis, Autoimmune diseases, and Type 1 Diabetes.  Our innovative solutions support advanced therapeutics at all levels: from preclinical discovery, to process development, to cGMP manufacturing, and companion diagnostics – all based on the common Proteios Chimera Platform.  The Chimera Platform enables multivariate (parallel), multidimensional, label-free isolation of any biological, including: immune cell subtypes, proteins, antibodies, and viruses.  Multidimensional cell isolations (e.g., CD8+ | CD62L+ double-positive T cells) can be performed in less than 60 minutes.  Improved therapeutic efficacy has been demonstrated by more closely controlling the composition of cell therapies and these difficult-to-isolate cells.  Current antibody-based methods are incapable of performing multidimensional cell isolations.  Scalability of the platform allows the same technology to be used for discovery and manufacturing, which dramatically reduces the time required for process development.  Proteios is a pre-revenue company located within the UPTEC Incubator in Porto, Portugal.  Proteios is driven by the goal to lower the cost of healthcare and to provide advanced therapeutics to a larger patient population.
