Architectural Affairs
UPTEC Baixa
Atelier founded by Andreia Garcia (Porto, 2016), Architectural Affairs works on the discipline of Architecture in three components — design, curatorship and editing. Its practice has been established in recent years, having been selected for the FAD Awards (Spain, 2018 and 2019), Dezeen Awards (2019), finalist in BigMAT Award (France, 2019), winner in the LEONARDO Award (Belarus, 2019) and publishing international journals of specialty. In curatorial practice, we highlight ‘Endless Space: Proposition of the Continuous’ (2017) and ‘Rhythm of Distances: Propositions for the Repetition’ (2017); the conception and curatorship of the first edition of MAM (2018) and MAM’19; the general curatorship of the Maia Contemporary Art Biennale’19. Recently took over the curatorship of the exhibition ‘Double Exposure’ on Fernando Guerra’s 20 year career at Roca Gallery Lisbon. With regard to editorial projects, we highlight the authorship and edition of ‘Espaço Cénico, Arquitectura e Cidade’, the editorial coordination of the publication ‘O Theatro e a Memória’, MAM’19 catalogue, Maia Contemporary Art Biennale catalogue and as editor the publication ‘Shaping Shape’.
