Be A Boss: Cycle of events connects U.Porto students to the world of entrepreneurship

U.Porto students now have the opportunity to connect with the world of entrepreneurship through the Be A Boss cycle – an initiative that promotes direct contact with professionals who have carved out innovative careers. The next event takes place on March 13 at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP).

The second event in the cycle will take place on March 13, at 5pm, in the Events Room of FEUP’s Civil Engineering Department. The session will be attended by former FEUP students and startup founders: Júlio Martins (Everythink), Márcia Pereira  (Bandora Systems) and Ricardo Soares (AddVolt),  who have built entrepreneurial careers in the areas of engineering, strategic design and sustainable technologies.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the challenges and learning experiences of these professionals, while at the same time developing essential skills for the fun etworking space ture. In addition to the lectures, the event includes a networking space where students can interact with the speakers and expand their network in a relaxed atmosphere.

After this meeting at FEUP, the Be A Boss cycle will travel to other U.Porto faculties, bringing new guests and different perspectives on innovation and entrepreneurship. On March 27, FLUP will host the event, followed by FBAUP on April 10, FAUP on April 24 and FEP on May 8.

Each session will feature leading professionals who will share their experiences and trajectories with the students.

Participation is free of charge. Applications can be made until March 13, 2025, using the form available on the Santander website.
