UPTEC startups present innovations to the industrial sector of Famalicão
Eight companies will present their ideas at Showcase 2.0, an event integrated in the initiatives of the PRODUTECH Digital Innovation Hub
UPTEC – Science and Technology Park of the University of Porto joins forces with the Municipality of Famalicão to, through Famalicão Made IN, promote the Showcase 2.0, an initiative that will take place on November 29th, at TMG Group’s headquarters in Vale S.Cosme, at 5 pm.
In this showcase focused on “Industrial Innovation“, eight startups will present their ideas and business models in a pitch to entrepreneurs and investors, four of them from UPTEC: Azitek, Infinite Foundry, TakeCarbon and Value Negotiation Technologies.
Azitek will present the radio frequency identification system based on innovative angle-of-arrival technology, while Infinite Foundry will demonstrate the operational metaverse platform that allows virtual reproduction and all the details of an industrial operation in real-time. For its part, TakeCarbon takes the decentralized platform that aims to revolutionize the way carbon credits are tokenized, traded, financed, and offset on a global scale, and Value Negotiation Technologies will showcase the procurement SaaS solution that helps companies negotiate better and faster deals through process automation and AI.
For UPTEC’s Director of Business Development, Maria Moura Oliveira, this relationship between the industrial sector of the municipality of Famalicense and the UPTEC startup community is essential to foster entrepreneurship. “Promoting this type of initiative benefits startups looking for investment and possible customers or partners. For the industrial fabric of Famalicão, it will be – without a doubt – an opportunity to learn about progressive ideas, which can support the industry in digital transformation and innovation. UPTEC has a significant connection to Famalicão, and this showcase is just another example of the great synergy that exists.”
In addition to the four startups incubated at UPTEC, IOTECH, NITextile, FM4ALL and Vai-me a Vending are also in the competition.
Showcase 2.0 is one of the activities included in the Produtech Digital Innovation Hub, a digital innovation network for the industry whose mission is to promote the digital transformation of industrial companies in the region and stimulate the innovation ecosystem, to which UPTEC belongs.
