UPTEC startup in European programme for women entrepreneurs

The Portuguese edition of Empowering Women in Agrifood (EWA) 2025 will feature Susplus, a startup incubated at UPTEC – Science and Technology Park of the University of Porto. The acceleration programme created by EIT Food brings together 10 women entrepreneurs from the agrifood sector, who over the coming months will benefit from personalised mentoring, online training sessions, masterclasses and opportunities for national and international visibility.

Susplus, created by Inês Vasconcelos Luís, André Campos and Manuel Silva, develops technological solutions for monitoring and managing the climate impact of companies. The platform collects and organises the data necessary to ensure the sustainability of the operations and products of companies in the agrifood sector, in order to comply with the European Union Directive on sustainability and ESG reporting.

At the end of the programme, Inês Vasconcelos Luís, sustainability specialist at Susplus, will present the startup’s work to a panel of judges, competing for prizes of €10,000 (1st place) and €5,000 (2nd place). In addition, the winner of EWA Agrifood 2025 will have the opportunity to represent Portugal at the pan-European NEXT BITE event in Warsaw.

The 2025 edition also has the support of 10 leading mentors in the fields of innovation, science and entrepreneurship, including Diana Oliveira from PFx Biotech, a startup that is also incubated at UPTEC.
