UPTEC – Science and Technology Park of the University of Porto is looking for 14 students from the University of Porto to join BOSS – Board Of StudentS. This programme puts students at the centre of decision-making, allowing them to play an active role in defining entrepreneurship and innovation policies, while connecting with the UPTEC entrepreneurial community.

BOSS – Board Of StudentS represents a unique opportunity for students to actively influence the University’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. By becoming UPTEC ambassadors, members actively participate in organising initiatives that stimulate entrepreneurial spirit, creativity and direct contact with projects and companies in the UPTEC universe.

Through practical and collaborative activities, the programme promotes the development of cross-cutting skills and also provides opportunities to participate in leading international entrepreneurship events, which reinforce learning and networking in global contexts.

In 2025, BOSS also launched its first initiative, the ‘Be a Boss’ series of talks. Over the course of six events, which took place at FEUP, FEP, FLUP, FBAUP, FAUP and ICBAS/FFUP, the initiative brought together 18 U.Porto alumni who shared their entrepreneurial journey and more than 100 participants.

BOSS: applications for the programme open until 3 December

To be part of the exclusive list of UPTEC ambassadors, you just need to be a student at one of the U.Porto faculties. There are only 14 places available, which must be applied for using the form available on the website. The first phase of applications ends on 3 December.
