Summer School on “Creating impact through research” brings academia and industry together

From June 27 to July 1, the OpenInnoTrain project will bring together in its second edition – in a hybrid format – PhD Researchers at any stage, post-doctoral researchers, academics, industry fellows, and the rest of the community. The event will focus on the importance of research impact.

OpenInnoTrain, a consortium of which UPTEC is a member, is a global network of researchers and industry professionals across Europe and Australia. With this event, it intends to focus on the importance of the impact of research in academia and industry and the ways in which this can be produced at different stages of research. In these five days of learning that will take place at INESC TEC, Porto, and online, 5 major themes will be addressed: scoping, identification and mapping, engagement, tracking and communication.

OpenInnoTrain promotes the university-industry research link through cooperation and innovation in the cleantech, foodtech, industry 4.0 and fintech sectors and has a research consortium of 22 members in countries such as Australia, Austria, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Italy, Norway, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and the UK.

All participants, at the end of this event, will receive a certificate of participation from OpenInnoTrain and will have access to all the material for future use.

The registration for the event is required and open to the entire community. The session takes place in a hybrid format, so registrations can be made to physically attend or to watch online.
