Matosinhos City Council promotes competition for business ideas in the blue economy

Matosinhos City Council promotes, in partnership with UPTEC – Park of Science and Technology of U. Porto, the 3rd edition of BluAct, a programme to support the growth of the blue economy, which aims to support innovative business ideas. The initiative aims to promote the creation of qualified jobs, boosting the economy of the municipality of Matosinhos.
The launch event is scheduled for October 9th, 2023, at 11 am, at UPTEC Mar, and will be attended by the Mayor of Matosinhos, Luísa Salgueiro, and the Director of Business Development at UPTEC, Maria Moura Oliveira , who has the honors of opening this competition.
This is followed by the presentation of the 2023 BluAct programme, through Tiago Gomes from the Environmental Monitoring Division of the Matosinhos City Council, and interventions by representatives of Indaqua, Tiago Fragata, and Conservas Portugal Norte, Rodrigo Souza, partners of CM Matosinhos in this programme.
The winning startups of the 2022 edition of BluAct – FilterCork, Inclita Seaweed Solutions and Windcredible – will also be present and share their experiences, including a networking session that will close the ceremony.
