Neuraspace, a startup incubated at UPTEC – Science and Technology Park of the University of Porto, has raised an investment round of 15.6 million euros to accelerate the development of its Space Surveillance and Space Traffic Management solutions.

"This investment marks the beginning of Neuraspace's next phase of growth. We are strengthening Europe's sovereign Space Surveillance capabilities, whilst delivering the AI-powered operational services that the next generation of commercial, institutional and defence missions will require," says Chiara Manfletti, CEO of Neuraspace.

Founded in 2020, Neuraspace offers an advanced Space Traffic Management (STM) SaaS platform based on Artificial Intelligence that automates and optimises in-orbit operations to prevent satellite collisions.

By analysing large volumes of data, the startup provides highly accurate, real-time collision risk assessments, as well as automated avoidance manoeuvre suggestions. This drastically reduces false alarms, minimises operational costs and protects critical space assets.

Over the past year, Neuraspace recorded revenue growth of more than 350%, currently monitoring over 600 satellites for commercial and institutional clients, including the European Space Agency (ESA). It was also one of the national startups selected for the NATO DIANA accelerator, alongside Connect Robotics, another company belonging to the UPTEC community.

The funds raised will allow the startup to strengthen its artificial intelligence platform, expand its own network of optical sensors and accelerate the development of Neuraspace DEF, a dual-use technology aimed at government and defence entities that offers more resilient space surveillance services.

The funding includes 9.6 million euros from the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) and six million euros in private investment, in a round led by Lince Capital, Explorer Investments and Armilar Venture Partners.
