Food4Sustainability is a non-profit association based in Idanha-a-Nova that promotes the transition towards more sustainable, resilient, and healthy food systems. It operates as a Living Lab, bringing together companies, universities, research centers, public and private organizations, farmers, and entrepreneurs to co-create and test innovative solutions. Its work focuses on areas such as regenerative agriculture, sustainable aquaculture, circular economy in the agri-food sector, and the valorization of by-products. Beyond research, Food4Sustainability invests in training, capacity building, and support for entrepreneurship, helping to transform knowledge into positive impact. With a collaborative and international approach, Food4Sustainability contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, aiming to ensure a fairer, more inclusive, and balanced food future for both society and the environment.
