WiseConnect has as one of its base ideas the development of distributed monitoring systems for agriculture. However, we go a step further, and our product allows the analysis of the collected data to support decision making, it integrates models for deceases prediction and enables remote actuation.
Detailing about the monitoring part, the system makes several measurements (e.g. radiation, temperature, soil pH, leaf wetness, etc.) in different areas of the plantation. These measurements are shown on a web-based platform, where you can also trigger many kinds of actuators (e.g. watering systems, fertilization, etc), and set different all kinds of warnings. Also, in the same platform, there is an intelligence layer, based in the acquired measurements and in various mathematical and scientific models, that gives information about the plantation watering needs, prediction of diseases, and other relevant information.
Our system allows the vineyard owner to improve his production and reduce operational costs, by reducing the travels to the farm, minimizing the losses with plagues and diseases and by saving on water, fertilization and diseases treatment.
